Lent begins on Ash Wednesday on February 10th with services at noon and 7:30 pm.
The Wednesday night contemplative worship service will continue during Lent; short, quiet services with prayers and poetry from 6:30 to 7:00 pm.
There will be a Lenten healing service on Sunday March 6.
Rev. Kate will lead a Prayer Practice Group, which will include small group conversation and support in our contemplative/mediation practice. Brand new beginners as well as experienced practitioners will be welcome.
During Adult Formation we will engage in a special Lenten Formation Series — Turn and Live: Looking for Hope in our Broken World. Our human family, and particularly here in the United States, is sadly besieged by violence, prejudice and poverty. As people of God, where do we find hope? What does it mean for us to turn back towards God in the face of all that is destroying our cities and towns? In our Adult Formation series, we will examine some of the ways that our world is broken, and how we can move together towards life-giving response. Together we will seek to find hope and healing for our world through this series. Join us beginning on Sunday February 21 at Adult Formation. We will meet each Sunday for four weeks, concluding March 13.
