Grow Clinic Holiday Party!

We are excited to once again focus our late November and December mission activities on the Grow Clinic Holiday Party. Church of our Redeemer is the leading supporter.

When is the party?

Thursday, December 19 @ BU School of Medicine
Party time: 3:00-6:00 PM
Set-up 1:45-3:00 PM & Clean-up 6:00-6:50 PM

…‘but God has lifted up the humble
He has filled the hungry with good things’

Luke 1:52-53

The party is a very happy day for the families that attend, a day of abundance.  Redeemer funds the party with $4,500 from our mission budget and $2,000 for toys and books.  The Clinic orders more than enough food so we can send food home with the families. We need more than enough cookies so we can send cookies home with the families.  And this year we are trying for FIVE tree loads of mittens and hats so we have more than enough.

How can I help? There’s something for everyone!

What is the Grow Clinic?

The Grow Clinic is a long time Mission partner with Redeemer, a part of Boston Medical Center’s Department of Pediatrics. The clinic serves families who have been referred because their baby or toddler has been diagnosed with Failure to Thrive, which means they are having significant problems growing at a rate comparable to other children their age. The Clinic goes into action immediately to make sure the family has the food, housing, energy and equipment to feed the child.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

Could someone make sure that anyone who bakes for the party knows that they have to clean the area they are baking in thoroughly to make sure no nut residue is around – their baking tools, counters, bowls, etc.

    Thank you.
