Lexington’s Interfaith Garden Welcomes Volunteers

It’s spring at Lexington’s Interfaith Garden where volunteers from all over town join together to grow organic produce for Lexington’s Food Pantry. The Garden has produced over 5 tons of three dozen different organic vegetables, herbs, and flowers since its beginning in 2010.

Each season over 500 volunteer spots need to be filled. We hope you have interest in volunteering as an individual or as a smaller group. Volunteers come from several faith communities in town. And they come from various groups of various ages with varying degrees of knowledge about vegetable gardening. Some volunteers come regularly; some come occasionally… as your schedule permits. We are grateful for any amount of time that volunteers can offer.

WHERE:: The location of the Garden is convenient: across from the Green right next to First Parish.
WHEN: Gardening days are twice weekly: Tuesday afternoons (4:30 – 6:00 pm) and Saturday mornings (8:30-ish – 10:00 am).
WE INVITE YOU: Join us…once or twice or more often–as your schedule permits. No experience needed! Children, youth, and adults—all are welcome. (LHS community service hours are available.)
