Solidarity Expressed by COOR’s Muslim Friends & Neighbors

In the wake of the Sri Lankan tragedy, friends and neighbors from the local Muslim community in Lexington gathered at the entrances of Redeemer to greet attendees with flowers and supportive posters on April 28. Several of the visitors stayed for the worship service that followed. Many COOR members expressed being touched by the display of solidarity and support, and many hugs and long conversations were shared.

A special thanks to Amber Iqbal and Rev. Andrew Goldhor for co-organizing the informal gathering.
